Master David D. Drysdale Sr., VII Dan is the head instructor of Drysdale's School of Tae Kwon-Do. He began his training in 1971 under the late Master Sang Kyu Shim, IX. Dan, United Tae Kwon-Do. Mr. Drysdale also has the honor of training under the founding father of Tae Kwon-Do; Grand Master General Choi Hong Hi, IX Dan. On April 23, 1993, he tested under Master C. E. Sereff for V Dan and successfully passed the test. In October of 1993, Mr. Drysdale Sr. was appointed State Director of the I.T.F. for the lower peninsula of Michigan. The certification and conduct of all other instructors is the primary responsibility of the State Director. Also he strives to maintain conformity in technique within the state. In February of 1994, Mr. Drysdale attended the International Instructors Course in Odessa, Texas. This course was conducted by Grand Master General Choi Hong Hi. By passing this course, Mr. Drysdale Sr. is certified to teach overseas and to test students for their black belts-in Tae Kwon-Do. Mr. Drysdale Sr. active trains and teaches in his classes. He was promoted to VII Dan in April 10, 2003.

 

Mrs. Joan M. Drysdale, VI Dan, is the chief instructor at Drysdale's School of Tae Kwon-Do. Currently, she is the highest ranking female instructor in the state of Michigan, I.T.F. Mrs. Drysdale is also the only certified female International Instructor in Michigan.

 
   

She has been training and teaching Tae Kwon-Do since 1981. With her job of Medical Biller and Office Manager, being a mother and housewife, and full time Tae Kwon-Do instructor, is a model for all women in the martial arts. She has competed and placed in local, state, and regional events, as well as having put on demonstrations at tournaments and local events for her husband. On April 23, 1993 she tested and received her IV Dan under Master C. E Sereff, IX Dan. She also, has had the honor of training under the founder and father of Tae Kwon-Do General Choi Hong Hi at the International Instructors Course in Odessa, Texas. Mrs. Drysdale currently trains and teaches in their classes at Drysdale's School of Tae Kwon-Do. She was promoted to VI Dan on April 25, 2003.
